1905
Houston: A Seed Is Planted
William J. Seymour came to Houston seeking a deeper understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit. During his time here, he encountered teaching and prayer that would shape his calling and ignite a hunger for spiritual awakening. What began as preparation in Houston would soon influence the world.
1906
Azusa Street: A Revival Ignites
Seymour traveled to Los Angeles, where a small prayer meeting on Azusa Street became one of the most significant revivals in church history. People from many cultures and backgrounds gathered to seek God together. The message of the Holy Spirit spread across continents. The Azusa Street Revival became a catalyst for the global Pentecostal movement that continues to impact millions today.

Revive Houston: A City on Mission
More than a century later, Houston stands as one of the most diverse cities in the world -home to millions of people from countless nations and cultures. From Easter to Pentecost, believers across Greater Houston will unite again in prayer, compassion, and Gospel witness. The same Spirit who moved in past awakenings is still at work today.
THE MISSION
Greater Houston is home to more than 8 million people across diverse cultures and communities. Many are searching for hope, purpose, and truth.
Revive Houston is a citywide movement of churches and believers stepping into the harvest together - through prayer, compassion, and bold witness. For 50 days, we will go into neighborhoods, homes, workplaces, and public spaces to share the message that changes lives. This is our city. This is our moment.
THE VISION
50 Days of Prayer and Outreach
From April 5 to May 24, 2026, believers across Greater Houston will step into the mission field.
Prayer walks will cover neighborhoods. Conversations will happen in homes and workplaces. Communities will encounter the love of Jesus. We are believing for a wave of unity and Gospel witness across the entire region.
WHAT IS REVIVE HOUSTON?
Revive Houston is a unified evangelistic movement mobilizing churches across Greater Houston to saturate our region with prayer, outreach, and the Gospel.
This is not just an event. This is a citywide mission.
